Tungsten beads are part of the basic equipment of fly tyers. Tungsten beads have advantages over brass or lead: the weight is significantly higher. You give the nymph EXTRA weight, which causes it to sink faster towards the bottom.

Tungsten is non-toxic and therefore harmless to our waters.
