Ischler-Ebensser Traun

Ischler-Ebenseer Traun | The dream of Traun
This 7.5 km long section of the Traun is located below Bad Ischl. The Traun presents itself here as a wide river with sometimes strong currents. As a result, the trout and grayling are in excellent physical condition and strength, guaranteeing a unique fishing experience. Long runs, deep pools and trickle stretches are the character of the river at this point, which offers optimal conditions for wonderful fly fishing. Despite its width, the Traun is perfectly accessible and waded, so that in some places it is even possible to cross the river when the water is low. Numerous shelters that are ideal for the fish contribute, among other things, to the fact that the population of large rainbow trout, brown trout and grayling is excellent.
